SearchGiving

Raising money for charity with every search.

How SearchGiving Works

SearchGiving is an independent web search for charitable causes. We show you real results and explain how the site makes money and where that money goes.

How the site is funded

SearchGiving earns money from advertising and, where we take part in an affiliate programme, a commission when you buy something through one of our links. We are not sponsored by any charity; the results you see are independent.

Our use of affiliate links

Some outbound links may be affiliate links, which means we can earn a commission on purchases made through them at no extra cost to you. This does not affect the price you pay or which results appear. Where we are not participating in an affiliate programme, links go directly to the destination website.

Where the money goes

50% of qualifying revenue is set aside for charity. We keep a monthly ledger and, once the balance reaches £50.00, pay it to registered charities.

Our Charity Giving

We set aside 50% of qualifying advertising and affiliate revenue for registered charities.

Donation payments

At the end of each month, we make a payment if at least £50.00 is available to donate. Smaller balances carry forward until the payment threshold is reached.

No giving data has been recorded yet.

Transparency

We aim to be transparent about how SearchGiving works and how much we donate.

Our giving records

The figures on our Giving page come from our monthly ledger. When no giving data is available, we say so instead of showing an estimate.

Privacy

Your privacy

We do not sell your personal data. Search queries are sent to the search provider to retrieve results. We also record queries and result counts for site statistics.
